Hearth Tenders

Tending the Sacred Hearth of Sisters In Celebration

Tending the hearth, the heart and soul of our community, is an important task, not very unlike the priestesses tending the hearth fires of the temples to the Goddess in ancient times. Hearth Tending consists of keeping an eye on the energy and popping in with enthusiasm and joy if the energy begins to wane, and also of nurturing sisters to offer caring and consoling when needed and mediation to resolve tension or disputes should they arise.

Sisters in Celebration has four hearth tending circles.

High Priestesses of the Hearth

Hearth Tendersmentor new sisters as they navigate their way through their first lessons and get acclimated and active in our sisterhood. They are charged with fostering a deep, sincere and loving sisterhood that is infused with joy!
Hearth Tenders are required to be active within the community and have completed Lesson 8 of Level One -or- 2 moons of the Priestess Path course.

Hearth Crafters are an extension of Hearth Tenders. Hearth Crafters continue to offer support to sisters, but also work together to provide activities for personal growth through their individual gifts. Hearth Crafters explore opportunities for mentorship with other sisters who are exploring in the HC's areas of expertise. Not only do they tend the hearth fires of our sisters, but they also create rituals, spells, dream-work tips, etc, to share with sisters in our discussion list in order to assist them in their level 2 growth! Hearth Crafters are required to be active within the community and have completed Level One -or- 4 moons of the Priestess Path course.

Hearth Priestesses
are a further extension of Hearth Tenders and Hearth Crafters. Active within Sisters in Celebration, tending to the community and outreach programs, the Hearth Priestesses also provide mentorship to all sisters in the community. Hearth Priestesses also assist with pre-initiation rituals and offer guidance programs in specific areas of study.
Hearth Priestesses are required to be active within the community and have completed Level Two, and /or Three -or- 8 moons of the Priestess Path course.

High Priestesses of the Hearth When a Priestess, after completing Level 4 becomes a High Priestess and chooses to stay within Sisters in Celebration, she is considered High Priestess within the Hearth of SIC. High Priestesses of the Hearth minister in community of SIC and work with members of the Hearth Program, assisting them in creating positive, educational and sacred space for all students of Sisters in Celebration. They may also be of service as Continuing Education Instructors by creating short courses and offering them and donating a portion of the tuition from these short courses to assist SIC’s day to day workings and outreach programs. They may be called upon to assist the Directors of Sisters in Celebration. High Priestesses of the Hearth are required to be active within the community and have completed Level 4.

Sisters in Celebration is honored to have the following sisters tending to our sacred hearth.

Hearth Tenders

Hestia, as Goddess of the Hearth, reigns over personal security and happiness and the sacred duty of hospitality. Hestia protects those that request this of her at every private house and city hall. None may be turned away lest they offend Hestia. Her fire is truly sacred. As the Hearth Tender in this sacred space, may she bless you always!
